Every tag push has been spawning a build-macos.yaml run that fails at runner-pickup. forge.ourworld.tf has no macOS host in its Forgejo Actions runner fleet (confirmed by user 2026-05-05 during session 60).

Deletion is the canonical remove — if: false leaves pending statuses behind, only file removal or .disabled rename clears it from the Actions UI.

If ops ever provisions a macOS runner this can be re-introduced from the build-linux.yaml shape.

Every tag push has been spawning a build-macos.yaml run that queues
forever / fails at runner-pickup since the forge.ourworld.tf Actions
runner fleet has no macOS host. The file was carried over from an
older template; deleting outright is the canonical remove (per
forge_ci skill — `if: false` still leaves pending status, only
removal/`.disabled` rename actually clears it).

If ops ever provisions a macOS runner the file can be re-introduced
from the build-linux.yaml shape.
